Maljen belongs to the Dinaric mountain system and represents one of its final mountain massifs in northwestern Serbia.
The highest peak of Mount Maljen, standing at 1,104 meters above sea level, is Kraljev Sto (King's Table). According to local legend, this viewpoint was named after Emperor DuĊĦan, who stayed here during a battle fought at the foot of the mountain. It is said that he placed his table at this very spot, from where he commanded his army and planned the battle against the Hungarian army.
